FAMILY HURT IN JOHOR CRASH.
A family of 8 Singaporeans were injured after the car they were in overturned on Malaysia's North-South Highway on Sunday afternn.
the crash happened in Tangkak, Johor, at about 4pm as the Singaporeans were on their way home from Selangor.
it is believed that the left rear tyre of the multi-purpose vehicle burst. this caused the car to skid off the road and flip several times before coming to a stop. no other vehicle was involved.
the Malaysian traffic police confirmed the incident. it is not known if the eight were wearing seat belts, though Malaysian media reported that the victims were thrown out of the car.
the four men and four women were taken to the Muar hospital, with injuries such as fractures. they were expected to return to Singapore for treatment last night, said Mr Pritpal Singh, the operations director of Civis Ambulance.
